What’s Coming Up at 12 Gates?
In case you missed it 12 Gates Brewing had a little tasting event this past Friday at Santora’s Pub and Grill on Transit Rd. Don’t fret, if you missed out it was only the first of several more to come. If you were there, we hoped you enjoyed the free beers we were slinging and we appreciate the enthusiasm and support from all that came. The next several months will be filled with events as our presence becomes increasingly louder in the WNY craft beer community leading up to our opening, tentatively set for the beginning of November, hopefully sooner.
For our first tasting we rolled out two of our flagship beers we will be opening with, our West Coast IPA and the Belgian White. In the events to come we will be mixing it up, always bringing a flagship or two, and also possibly trying out some of our seasonal selections on the public. Think of yourself as boozy, pickled guinea pigs as we toy with things like juniper berries, sage, cacao nibs, and habanero extract to name a few. Look forward to flagship selections, such as Saison, Coffee Porter, and Session IPA, as well as some seasonal and test batch varietals, including a Chocolate Milk Stout, Double IPA with juniper berries, a mix of our rotating IPA series, and much more.
Coming Soon:
August 28th, Mister Goodbar, 7 pm: we will be bringing out a couple flagship selections, and possibly as really tasty test batch for a future BIG beer.
September 4th, J.P. Fitzgerald’s (Hamburg), 7 pm: look for our Session IPA to be premiering at this event, with two other flagship selections.
Collaboration beer with CBW for Ales for ALS charity: Shawn and Rudy will be getting together to brew up a special, and very limited, IPA for the Ales for ALS charity using an experimental hop blend. The tapping for this collaboration beer is yet to be determined, but look for an update soon, as it will be right around Buffalo Beer Week (Sept. 24th – Oct. 5th). Proceeds from each pint go directly to ALS TDI, which is the world leader in ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) research.
As with all our tasting events, they run while supplies last, so get there early and thirsty. A big thank, again, to anyone that came out to support us at our first public event, and we hope to see you again soon.
Cheers!
