Meet the Team – Patrick Cipollone

You recently joined the 12 Gates Team – Welcome! 

What’s your role at 12 Gates Brewing?
I get to wear a lot of hats as a Manager! I get to work with each department to ensure 12 Gates is moving forward as a team in the right direction. Being a part of all aspects from beer production, sharing it with guests, to brainstorming new ideas–it’s such a great opportunity!

What excites you about the new position?
Everything. But especially creating and delivering a total experience for our guests that showcases high quality, locally made craft beer paired with delicious food, music and fun!

Tell us a little about your background in the industry.
I’ve been in the industry for 2 years now. I started as a Brand Ambassador and Sales Rep and have participated in every brew festival/event in the area…twice! Made a ton of friends and colleagues and love representing BuffaLocal Beer!

Do you have a go-to 12 Gates beer?
I’ve been mixing it up lately! Trying everything I haven’t before but really enjoying our newest IPA, Hop On the Mic, as well as the classic Yoga Pants Blonde Ale!

Are there any upcoming beer festivals or taproom events you’re looking forward to?
I love all things music so I am especially excited for our Dark Side of the Moon Party on Sat July 20th, our Woodstock 50th Celebration on August 17th, and to enjoy some 12 Gates beer featured at Borderland Music and Arts Festival in East Aurora September 21 & 22nd!

You’re a big music fan. Do you have a favorite artist or genre? Any stand out concerts you’ve attended?
I LOVE MUSIC. All of it. Everything from Bob Dylan, to Phish, to Phantom of the Opera, to Ray Charles, to disco! My favorite concert is usually the next one I’m going to!

Let’s pretend you have a chance to take a beercation without any limitations. Where would you go?
I would absolutely love to visit Cantillon in Brussels! The history and quality is unmatched.

Is there anything you’ve found out about 12 Gates that you feel like more people need to know about? 
I’m thrilled to be able to catch some UB Bulls sports action this year and enjoy some 12 Gates while doing it as it will be available at each event. Also, if you haven’t sat outside, enjoyed a beer and food, and watched the planes land right over your head then you have to come check it out! I’m still in awe!
